Alex Stuff

Copied from my Facebook status:
"Went to a '50s diner this evening for ice cream. My 5-year-old looked in the corner and said, 'Daddy, look -- a juice box!'" She of course meant jukebox.

We also happened to go on Elvis Night, with an impersonator and a karaoke machine. Alex like that. She asked Gerald if the records on the wall were CDs.

More musings on kindergarten graduation:

- Alex kept insisting that we all go straight home right after graduation on Monday morning. I told her she had to go back to class, and then keep going to school until Thursday. She thought once graduation ceremonies were over, she was done done. She was irritated, but then she found out that the last week of school is all recess, parties and gifts.
- However, I remember last year, after pre-K graduation, she thought she was done with school forever.
