What Else?

Of course we're going to talk about my kid this morning.
Each morning, I write Alex a note before I leave for work. I think it made us both feel better, especially since she wasn't used to seeing me walk out the front door without her.
At first, the daily memo was a courtesy; now it is a requirement. But Alex does reciprocate; every evening, I get a note from her, which I love (even though she has been falling off lately. I think I'll address that.)
Typically, her notes mimic mine (message, tone, "artwork"). One day, I guess I wrote her a note about being good to her friends, her dad, her dolls, etc. And here's the note I got back:
"Daer Mom i will miss you very much and i will be good today and de good to or fridnds at wr work"
Indeed. I have slipped her note into the front of my binder at work as a reminder to, yes, be good to my friends at work. Let it work, let it work ...

  1. I appreciate it. Tell Alex that you have been good to your friends at work.
