Our male Rottweiler, Baxter, died early Tuesday in our backyard. He had been sick for a while, and we had decided to let him enjoy his remaining time at home with us. He continued to be upbeat and sweet the whole time, and he was still eating, so we believe he was comfortable and content.
What a lesson for me and Alex both, to watch his progression and weight loss over the past couple months and coping with the inevitable loss. But we continue to say our prayers for Baxter and are thankful for our time with him. We look forward to spending eternity with him and the rest of our animal family (past and future!)
